At heart, Blue Noun English Language Hub is an alternative English Language School.

We are a community-minded, socially-aware small business trying to make a big difference.

Start as You Mean to Continue

Right from the start, we were keen to model positive alternatives to traditional language schools.

Not only are our language teaching methods unique but we consider the impact of our business both on the wider community and our planet.

We put opportunities and benefits into our local community as we grow.

We think all businesses should.

Our language school holidays show off our fabulous region Perthshire – and the artists, makers and producers within it.

It seems not only fair but critical to have local supporters and collaborators on our side.

It has always been our intention that as our English language school grows, opportunities for locals grow too – including remuneration opportunities for local artists and language school guest speakers.

We want to grow in harmony with the planet and waste as few resources as possible.

On this page, you can see the different ways we are achieving this.

Waste Nothing!

One thing we happily offer is a free meeting space for artist collectives, community groups, social enterprises and startups.

This is true to our social objectives.

It also makes our English Language Hub stronger too. Our English language guests benefit from people to meet and converse with.

And as we are often out on English learning immersion activities, there’s a lot of time that our language school stands empty.

It is in our ethos to reduce waste of any kind.

Our Free Stuff

Free ESL English learner resources

We’re absolutely committed to getting free resources out to people.

Our speciality is English for Creative Careers – and we are able to publish a lot of free resources as we collect material for our own lesson plans.

Again, it’s just good stuff that would go to waste if we didn’t share it.
