Ruth: spontaneous, adventurous and creative
She’s a popular and excellent E.S.L. English instructor; a creative, flexible thinker; sociable, friendly and interested in Scottish Heritage, Art and Culture.
Higher Education
Ruth trained as an artist at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee, UK (B.A. Hons) and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, USA (picking up her M.F.A. in Fine Art and a Certificate in Higher Education Teaching).
Art World
She’s also worked with a number of arts organisations, artist collectives ( see here) and more recently has picked up a camera to promote Blue Noun English language hub on social media.
ELT English Teaching
Ruth Pringle spent 3 years in Brussels and 7 years in Paris teaching ESL English to both university classes and at private language schools (L.S.I International and inlingua). She was on teaching teams for corporate clients including HAS, Nike France, Arcelor Mittal, INPES, L’Agence de la Biomedicine and Cegelec.
ELT Art Schools
She then specialised as an English instructor for art schools, and taught at: École Brassart, Tours; École de Condé, Paris-Segur; École Speciale d’Architecture, Paris, École Supérieure d’Art et de Design, Reims; Institut Universitaire de Technologie, Mantes la Jolie, Université Paris 13, Paris.
Conversationalist, Coach & Guide
Kenny is wingman (wing nut), language host and guide.
Your Friendly Pharmacist
Kenneth Graham is a pharmacist with 20 years of professional experience, including 8 years of managerial experience (which entailed being responsible for staff relations, customer service, meeting health and safety regulations, ensuring staff was up to date with current training, budgeting, calculating staff hours and stock management).
Music and Travel
Kenny is affable and friendly and a wonderful host. He is a golfer, a Spanish speaker, and a music lover. (He previously lived in Spain for one year and has a lot of encouragement to give our language learners).
His favourite part of being on the Blue Noun Teaching Team are the evenings when we have guest musicians in to talk music and play (and the evenings when we go out to gigs and events).

Our English language school is a ‘hub’.
Whether you take our English language holiday or work with us online, you’ll likely work with several members of our Teaching Team.
Each guest coach has unique skills to offer our English language school – as well as having their own professions, businesses & skills to share with you.
LOLIE
An Arts Graduate, Radio Host & Radio Station Director, TV producer, Lolie is an expert on all things media.
LIANNE
An English Literature graduate, Lianne can share expertise on many things in English language and local culture.
CHARMAIN
Set Designer, Props and Model Maker, Charmain will help with the language of 3D making processes and all things film set.
CLAIRE
Herbalist Claire talks to our English language learners about Heath & Wellbeing and alternative lifestyle skills.
KATH & MO
Kath and Mo run local pottery MOKA and offer Make a Mug classes to our English language learners. No visit to Crieff is complete without popping into their craft shop.
JAN
A riding coach and pony expert, Jan is training up her young highland pony to be a therapy horse. Jan can introduce you to rural Perthshire.
FIONA Mc.
Fiona is a glass graduate from Edinburgh College of Art. She now teaches workshops in collage and drawing.
JUNE
An honoured guest on an English language holiday!
Sculptor and Community Arts practitioner, June is also a fantastic storyteller about Scottish history, language and culture.

Fiona is an Art & Contemporary Practices graduate. She has a passion for socially engaged art and politics.
Fiona has broad ELT experience including with refugee groups.
BARRY SCOTT
Barry is a painter and picture framer with a studio in Perthshire. He has an M.FA. in fine art from the University of Maryland, and great teaching experience.
LHAMO
Lhamo is a musician, song writer and creativity coach. She regularly helps our English learners through journalling and mindset workshops.
JENNIE
Jennie is a pronunciation coach. She joins Blue Noun to give workshops improving pronunciation skills.
