Fixed Terms and Conditions enable us to give you light-hearted a English adventure.
Please read them carefully.
Terms and Conditions ensure that our language school consistently offers quality English courses and language immersion holidays with generous homestay hosts and well-matched English excursion activities.
They protect your right to a successful holiday – and our relationships with our partners.
Cancellation Policy – English Language Holidays
We want you to have a great time working with Blue Noun, your English language school in Perthshire Scotland.
We’ll ‘bend over backwards‘ to ensure you love your stay.
This means we will do everything reasonable that we can.
Please note – we are good people. If we can possibly help you by rearranging dates – we will.
Please contact us with your problem as early as you can.
COVID-19
Please do not travel if you have Covid.
Please take out travel insurance to protect yourself for all expenses of your holiday.
Note: Although we do have ample space to comfortably maintain a distance of a meter between each guest on our premises, your immersion English holiday includes socialising, visiting, travelling by private car and public transport.
Community mixing is what we do!
We recommend that you take out travel insurance that protects your holiday.

Refund Cancellation Policy – Language Immersion Course Holidays
31 + days prior to start date – Full refund excluding any non-refundable charges.
14+ days prior to start date – 75% of the invoice excluding any non-refundable charges.
7+ days prior to start date – 50% of the invoice excluding any non-refundable charges.
3+ days prior to start date – 25% of the invoice excluding any non-refundable charges.
Cancellation 2 days prior to the start and “no shows” – no refund.
Refund and Cancellation Policy for Bespoke Holiday Offers/Exclusive Use
If we are closing the school to other guests to give you a bespoke and private holiday, we ask for a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your booking, regardless of the time of cancellation.
The remaining 50% will be due 3 months before your holiday.
Once the initial deposit is received, your reservation will be confirmed, and the dates and pricing will be locked in.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the release of your reservation and forfeiture of the deposit.
We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking (covering personal reasons, illness, or travel disruptions ) to protect against unforeseen events, including cancellations, medical emergencies, and other travel disruptions, ensuring peace of mind during your holiday.
Exceptional Circumstances
- Travel Visa
Our standard cancellation policy does not apply if you have applied for a Travel Visa to be with us and your application has been rejected.In this case, Blue Noun will offer a full course refund – excluding non-refundable charges (see 3rd Party Bookings below: eg. agency fees, cancellation fees for accommodation/airport pick-up service).
- Weather
This cancellation policy does not apply if you are prevented from reaching Blue Noun Ltd. due to extreme bad weather anywhere in the UK.In this case, Blue Noun Ltd. will offer a full course refund.
NB: Travel disruption is most likely in January, February March when we are not open anyway.
We retain the right to cancel our contact with you if you use Hate Speech in a public or class context, show inappropriate or threatening behaviour to ourselves, homestay hosts, guest experts or other language guests.
NB: Hate Speech is not bad language (heck, you can do that’s much as you like).

Liability
Participating in any activity, including but not limited to excursions, trips, and holidays organized by the school, is purely voluntary and at the Client’s own risk.
Blue Noun Ltd. shall not be liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses that may occur to the Client during any such activities.
3rd Party Bookings
Agency Bookings
We pay 30% commissions to our travel agent partners on every agency sourced booking.
If you cancel your holiday, we still owe our partners.
We will deduct this amount in full and calculate your refund on the remainder.
Agency Refund
31 + days prior to start date – refund is 100% of the invoice amount minus 30% agency fee (and any non-refundable charges).
14+ days prior to start date – your refund is 75% of the invoice after 30% agency fee (and any non-refundable charges) are deducted.
7+ days prior to start date – refund is 50% of the invoice after 30% agency fee (and any non-refundable charges) are deducted.
3+ days prior to start date – 25% of the invoice minus 30% agency fee (and any non-refundable charges) are deducted.

Accommodation
Hotel Accommodation / B & Bs
Cancellations are entirely subject to the booking conditions of the hotel or B&B. The accommodation contract is with you, not with Blue Noun Ltd.
Homestay Hosts
Our homestay hosts do not charge or receive a cancellation fee.
Please show respect for them, and give as much notice as you can.
You will receive your Homestay Host fee in full in every cancellation circumstance.
Blue Noun English Language School clients will be responsible for any theft or unreasonable damage done to a Host Family’s property and property.
Please do tell us about any problems or breakages you have.
We want to help keep both you and our homestay hosts happy.
Online Courses
Top Up My English Vouchers
Top Up is coaching on your schedule. If you find yourself with time to talk, book one of your 10 coaching calls.
If life gets in the way, we will always try to reschedule.
Coaching calls need to be rescheduled within 24 hours or the session is forfeited.
The date your Top Up vouchers expire, this will be written on your invoice (typically 4 months from purchase).
Sketchbook English Online English Course
We offer a 14 day-no-questions-asked-refund on our online English course (starting from the day you get access to the portal).
