About Our Booking Process
Transparency, from Zoom chat to payment links
Blue Noun holidays aren’t booked in quite the same way as most holidays.
That’s because they aren’t quite the same.
You’re not simply choosing dates and paying online. You’re choosing to spend a week in someone else’s country, using another language, often travelling alone, and hoping you’ll feel comfortable enough to enjoy it.
We think that’s too important to leave to a booking form.
Instead, we begin with a conversation.
Our booking process is designed to help both of us decide whether Blue Noun is the right fit. It gives you plenty of opportunity to ask questions, understand how everything works, and get to know the person who’ll be supporting you throughout your holiday.
For us, the planning is already part of the experience.
The COnversation Begins
If Blue Noun could be a good fit, we’ll arrange a relaxed Zoom conversation.
This isn’t an English test or a sales call.
It’s simply an opportunity to meet, ask questions and experience what it feels like to speak English together.
It gives you a chance to see whether my coaching style and the atmosphere at Blue Noun feel right for you.
By the end of our conversation, you’ll have a much clearer picture of what your holiday could be like, and I’ll have started thinking about how to shape the week around you.

Thinking Time
If it feels as though Blue Noun is the right fit, I’ll suggest a suitable set of dates and reserve them for you for seven days.
During this time, you’ll have the opportunity to think everything through without feeling rushed.
I’ll also begin making enquiries with our homestay hosts to find the best possible match for your visit. Finding the right host is an important part of your holiday, and I take time to consider personalities, interests, availability and practical details before confirming your accommodation.
Once we’re both happy, we’ll confirm your booking and your place in Scotland.

Payment Plans
We’re happy to arrange a payment plan that spreads the cost of your holiday. In general, the final balance is due one month before your holiday begins.
Paying from Overseas
Most of our guests live outside the UK, so we normally use Wise payment links for international payments.
Wise offers secure international bank transfers with low fees and excellent exchange rates, helping to keep costs down for both you and Blue Noun.
If you would prefer to pay using your own bank’s international transfer service, that’s absolutely fine. However, any bank charges or transfer fees incurred are the responsibility of the sender.

Still Have Questions?
Choosing your holiday – and investing in your English – is a big decision.
We’ve answered many of the questions we’re asked most often in our frequently asked questions, but you’re always welcome to contact Ruth directly if there’s anything you’d like to ask.
The quickest way to reach us is by WhatsApp. No question is too small.
