English Immersion Holiday for Families
If you’ve ever felt that traditional language classes don’t fit your life or your family, you’re not alone.
As a parent, it can feel impossible to find time to learn English in a way that’s enjoyable, effective, and welcoming for both adults and children.
That’s exactly why I created Bring the Squirrels—a family English immersion holiday in Scotland designed to help you and your kids build confidence and connection in English together.
We’ll even make time to work on professional English skills, if that’s the language you need.
This blog tells you more about a pretty unique way of learning English together.

Last Minute Holiday | Family English Language Holiday August 2025
We still 1 x solo parent slot left for August 2025 for an adult & a kid over 10 (same homestay host, with separate rooms).
You could bring your squirrel, have a blast on holiday—and go home with superb English.
Booking starts with a quick Zoom chat, then I get cracking on designing you both a holiday.

Redesigning English Learning
Something you might not know about me is that I love kids. I always have.
I’ve often found adult spaces a bit intimidating and traditional learning environments too rigid—especially for families.
I know many parents feel the same: you want your child to feel at ease in English, but you also want to relax and enjoy time together, not sit in a classroom.
My approach is different. I created this holiday because I believe learning English can be woven naturally into days full of exploration, play, and shared discovery.

About Balancing Professional English Needs with Family Learning
Some people think it’s unprofessional to talk openly about enjoying kids or to design an English course around family life. That somehow, if you create space for play and curiosity, you’re compromising on quality or seriousness.
I see it differently.
Making children feel welcome and respected isn’t a soft option—it’s a skill.
When kids feel at ease, they learn naturally. And when parents know their children are thriving, they can relax, connect, and build their own English confidence too.
That’s real, effective learning, not a lesser version of it.

Designing a Holiday for YOU
It took me 5 years to think of offering a family English holiday.
A week where you and your kids can enjoy English together by exploring, playing, talking, and having fun.
Not only does it give your child a unique opportunity to belong in English from an early age, it takes the pressure off you too.
You’re not in an intense learning environment. You’re in a confidence-building, natural English-absorbing holiday—with quiet moments of coaching but otherwise ice-cream eating, castle exploring, and time together.

It took me 5 years to think of it, but as soon as I did, I knew I’d call it:
“Bring the Squirrels”
And equally, I knew I’d create a fair opportunity for single parents, too.
Often, travelling as a single parent costs almost the same as travelling as a couple. With my holiday, you just pay for yourself.
Our Family Holidays Start August 2025
I’m so excited to be welcoming our first families to the hub this August.
I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to wade in rivers and admire elephants at Blair Drummond Safari Park, while being genuinely useful to someone’s life mission.

Let Your Kids Discover Their English Potential
This holiday isn’t about your children behaving perfectly or trying to be anything other than themselves.
It’s about giving them space to be exactly who they are—curious, noisy, shy, playful—and to experience English as something they can belong to, not something they have to perform.
When kids feel free to be themselves in another language, it builds real confidence and trust that lasts long after the holiday ends.
Book a Zoom Call and discover if our English immersion holiday for families is right for you.
