Holiday synopsis:
A language workshop for beginners to learn English in hands-on, practical ways while exploring Scotland’s landscapes and culture.
This workshop offers daily English lessons and practical activities like games, cooking, and creative workshops, ensuring an enjoyable, hands-on learning experience.
Dip into English has the freedom of an immersion holiday, combined with the structure beginners need.

About Your Progress
The number of tuition hours needed to progress from lower to upper A1 typically ranges between 60 and 80 hours.
Each Dip into English Beginner Immersion week guarantees 30 + hours of structured lessons and 20+ immersive language experiences.

Holiday synopsis:
A language coaching holiday for adults aged 60+ to explore Scotland’s landscapes, culture, and heritage while improving in English.

The Drover’s Tryst Walking Festival
Holiday synopsis:
An outdoor language coaching holiday taking part in the local Drovers’ Tryst Walking Festival (09-12 May).
This festival has easy, medium and hard walks which share walks within the Scottish landscape with small groups.
Discover the Scottish landscape through history, walking and the natural world: and a superb, friendly community!
Then complete the week with outdoor English coaching, Blue Noun style!

Outdoors: No Classroom English

This unique English language holiday is for walkers wanting to explore the Scottish landscape safely and in social groups.
Expect a 30:70 English-to-wellness balance (prioritising outdoor walking experiences, with just a couple of hours per day of language coaching).
Book early to ensure tickets for the guided walks.

English Immersion for Professionals
Our language holidays are for professionals, as we believe relaxing into English is the best way to learn.
However, you can choose to swap immersion activities for extra coaching if you are preparing for a specific work interview/presentation.

Tips for Your English Language Holiday in Scotland
- Unless otherwise agreed, make Friday your travelling day ✈️.
Our immersion weeks start with you arriving Friday (afternoon/evening). We have sightseeing activities planned for you on the weekend you arrive THEN scheduled classes & activities Monday morning through to Friday noon. - All the activities and excursions we offer are included in the price of your English language holiday in Scotland.
- Our holidays have just 3 places per week – if you find a match – don’t wait!
When Should I Visit Scotland?
Scotland is a great place to visit at any time of year. The most popular tourist season July and August, but in fact, March and April can have wonderful weather – and offer the advantage of no midgets! September and October are often great outdoor months too.
Throughout April – September, every week there are a number of local events for tourists and locals alike to enjoy Scottish culture.
Perthshire, Scotland has just been voted the friendliest place on Earth, which makes it a superb place to come on an English language holiday!
